Hutan's participation in the expedition aimed to assess wildlife in Sungai Rawog Conservation Area (SRCA), one of the largest wildlife conservation areas set aside from active production forest reserve. In September 2023, Hutan used a series of methodologies to document wildlife presence including camera traps, gibbon survey, day and night-time recce, bird survey, and bioacoustics.
